Our most popular swim of the Series!!
Welcome to Race 3 of the 2024 TOWSA Open Water Swim Series - the Ship to Shore. Proudly supported by SEALINK Ferries, the event offers two ocean swim distances: 1.5km and 3km.
The calm waters off The Strand serve as the backdrop for this one-of-a-kind open water swim. Swimmers will test their skills, all you have to do is jump off the Sealink Ferry and swim to the mainland!

ON THE DAY
Registration will open at 6:15am at the SeaLink Breakwater Terminal, Sir Leslie Thiess Drive, Townsville.
The Swim briefing will be held on board the ferry.
Once the SeaLink Ferry is safely in position, the 3km swimmers will jump off the ferry to the start line, followed by the 1.5km swimmers.
The swim finishes at Strand Park Beach next to Townsville Picnic Bay SLSC.

BAG DROP
Bag drop will be provided. Please ensure your bag is small, securely closed and clearly labelled with your name.

WETSUIT POLICY
Wetsuits are permitted to be worn for all swims, please nominate in the wetsuit category when registering for this swim.
